Hey Simon! I'm sure you can find them online. Can you order Williams and Sanoma online in the UK? They have a nice teflon version: http://www.williams-sonoma.com/products/ebelskiver-filled-pancake-pan/?pkey=x|4|1||4|aebleskiver||0&cm_src=SCH. As I understand it, aebleskivers are Danish in origin. If I come across anything I'll definitely let you know!

Thanks for reading B! I had no idea you made aebleskiver at Lake Kjostad, that is awesome! Re: adding fillings, we added batter half way up an pan indentation, added the filling and then continued to add batter until it was almost full. It worked pretty well. It can be done by one person, but it was easier with two. You should def make them, they are delicious little doughnut-like treats!

I love those little guys! We make them up at Kjostad every summer and I have never had a savory aebleskiver. They sound delicious! Our family has always just gone for the traditional lingonberries and powdered sugar right on top. We use my aunt Janis's pan for it and I know that it is cast iron and seems pretty well seasoned. I will have to ask her where she got it. One question, when you filled them how exactly did you do that? Was it a really quick process and did you need more than one pair of hands? I really want to make these now. Yummy! They are almost like little doughnuts!

Hi Steph - Thanks for recommending using a Teflon pan while making your aebleskiver. I represent DuPont and it's always a pleasure to see people recommending our products in their recipes.

If you are interested in some other recipes or great cookbooks to look at for your blog, drop me an email and I would be glad to help you out! The aebleskiver looks delicious, btw :) Thanks. Cheers, Ross

Hey Greg!

You should definitely get a monk pan so you can make both Danish and Korean treats! The Teflon version is about $30 and the cast iron version is only $17 on lefsetime.com (http://www.lefsetime.com/store/template/product_detail.php?IID=141&&). Not sure how much the shipping would be though.

These Korean treats you are talking about sound delicious... sparking some new ideas of different fillings;) Take care!

Neat post! How much is the monk pan? We're always looking for things we can make on the stove in our oven-free apartment.

The steet food vendors make something similar to this out here in Seoul. Sometimes they use a large monk pan-like thing that is attached to the stove of their cart or kiosk and they can make about 20 at a time. Sometimes they have two or three six-ers in the cart so they can make them faster. The product is usually something like a one bite aebleskiver usually filled with nuts, sweet potato, or the omnipresent red bean paste.
